Goodbye Finals, Hello Summer! | May 20, 2010

 

AAS/ASU Graduation Banquet

Volunteers must wear semi-formal attire and there is no color coordination. Please show up to the restaurant by 3:30 pm. You will be separated into groups to work different areas of the banquet. Some of the duties involved are setting up tables and reception area, decorating, selling raffle tickets, registering graduates, and cleaning up everything.

I will also need five volunteers to help me cooking some appetizers for the reception Sunday afternoon. Please let me know if you can. We will start cooking at 12 pm and feel free to bring your clothes and get ready at my place.

Summer Retreat

Come join Asian Student Union on our summer retreat on May 24th! This is the Monday after finals week and to end the school year of stress, we will be going river rafting in Sacramento.

The 24th will be a whole day of river rafting and we will picnic and have a bar-be-que after. Then we will camp out at the campsite about 20 minutes away from the rafting site for the night and spend more time getting to know each other.

Price: Money will be due by May 19th! Please pay an ASU coordinator.

Drivers: $20 (If you can drive, please let us know ASAP)

Members: $25

Things you will need (Everyone is allowed one duffle bag or small suitcase):

-Swimming gear (bathing suit, trunks, etc.)

-Shoes you can get dirty because we will be water rafting and walking on dirt

-Flipflops

-Comfortable clothes that you can get dirty (shorts, t-shirt, etc.)

-Sunblock so you don’t get burned (no skin cancer please!)

-Toothbrush & toothpaste

-Towel

-Things that make you smell good (Deoderant, perfume, cologne)

We also need tents so if anyone has a tent they will allow us to borrow, please let us know!
