AWARDS CRITERIA
In reviewing submitted nominations, the Awards Committee will review the distinct contributions each
category’s nominees have made in one of the following areas:
• Promoting APA culture and heritage
• Strengthening unity within the APA community
• Making a unique difference addressing an unmet need in the Asian Pacific American community
All finalists will be invited to the Awards Ceremony on Monday, May 3, 2010, at 5:30 p.m. at the Herbst Theatre. The winner in each category will be announced during the event and presented with the following awards:
All three Awards recipients will receive the APA Heritage Awards trophy, a
Certificate of Recognition from the City and County of San Francisco as well as be featured on the website apasf.org. The Community Impact Award recipient will receive a contribution of $1,000.00 from the APA Heritage Celebration Committee in support of its programs and services.

Relay For Life
Date: April 24-25th, 2010
Time: 10am Saturday – 10am Sunday
Location: Lowell High School
The annual Relay for Life is coming up and Asian Student Union will be participating in the San Francisco Sunset one. This event is a run/walk at your own pace around the track of Lowell High School (near the annex). This is a 24-hour event so we will be out there running/walking the whole day as well as camping out! *Please bring tents if you have them, we’re expecting a good turn out

Come join Asian Student Union and pump it up! Pump it up has private indoor arenas, filled with gigantic inflatable slides, bounce houses, obstacle courses and more.
Event will cost $13. This is a Saturday so I know you all have time to party with us! If you wish to bring a friend outside of ASU, please notify us at asusfsu@gmail.com and we will okay it.
Please come at 6:00pm so we can get all of the rides situated. Anyone that can drive, please let us know also.

Tyrese Gibson’s production company HQ Pictures is looking for interesting, attractive, colorful Asian-Americans to cast in a reality show similar to JERSEY SHORE, REAL WORLD, THE HILLS, etc.. We need beautiful Asian-Americans with lively, strong, and unique personalities between the ages of 18 to 30 with equally interesting life stories and perspectives to share, especially individuals who know about and/or experienced the Koreatown life.
Please email us headshots/photos and a cover letter in the body of the email briefly describing yourself and why you should be included in this show. Competition is fierce as we are getting thousands of applicants so do your best to grab our attention! Be sure to include basic contact info such as name, age, phone number, email, and any other bits of interesting information that will make you stand out. Please feel free to include information and pictures of any of your friends that you think will also be a good candidate for this reality show.
