Ice Skating Social

For our December social, ASU will go ice skating to get in the mood for the holidays!

Cost for ice skating: $8.00

Please let me know who can drive and if you need a ride so I can coordinate the ride situation for everyone.

Also, we will be eating (don’t know yet) after ice skating too so bring extra moneys for that if you wanna eat with us!

Chevy’s Fundraiser Night

Date: December 7th, 2009

Invite all of your friends and family to dine with us and Chevy’s will donate 25% of the proceeds to our fundraising partner!

*You will need a flyer with you when paying for your meal for ASU and AAS to receive the 25%. Hand it to your waitperson when asking for the check or paying.

**Just to note, none of the bar profits will go towards ASU or AAS.

You can either print the flyer from the photo section of this event or you can stop by the ASU office (Cesar Chavez Student Center M-100E) and pick up some flyers.

Asian Student Union Potluck

Admission: $3 (for those who don’t want to bring a dish)
*You can pay any coordinator up till Wednesday, November 18th, 2009*

For those bringing a dish, there is a sign up infront of the ASU room to see what dishes people are bringing so we can have a variety of foods.

Here is what has been signed up for so far…
Fried rice, cake/brownies, sauce(condiments?), Chinese Pork, Pasta, Turkey, Dinner Rolls, Spring Rolls, Chinese Chicken Salad, Garlic Noodles, Sprite & Juice (something tropical)…

There is no requirement for a certain type, does not need to be Asian, do your specialty! *BUT no alcohol, school organization sponsored event*

Board games for entertainment and movies will be voted for showing. (Members may bring a movie of their choice for voting)

To celebrate the Halloween holiday early, ASU will be throwing a sardines party!

One person is picked to be “it”. This person is given some time to hide while everyone else sits in a neutral spot with their eyes for a specified amount of time. When the time is up, everyone searches for the person who is “It”. When this person is found, instead of ending the game, one tries not to let other people know where the person is; instead, he or she joins the person at their hiding spot. The object is to not be the last one left. The first person that found “It” gets to be “It” the next time.

This event will be on campus and we will set the boundaries so the game won’t get too difficult. The game will be happening at night and it will get verrrrrry scary so please bring a FLASHLIGHT and we will also split you guys into groups so nothing bad happens. Like if the Grudge girl or Billy gets you, you won’t be alone

Feel free to invite any friends you’d like, just no one creepy crawler please!
